Today I am going to show you how to underpin a slab foundation footing. Our garage was settling, and we had to make sure that we under pin it to prevent any further settlement. The whole process is very time-consuming and tedious, but you will see the difference between my first try and my second try. Some of the biggest takeaways from this experience is to make sure that you stress More on the form that will hold back the concrete. Also, it is very important that in the last inch and half or 2 inches of the poor you add a non-shrink grout that is mixed in with concrete adhesive in order to fill it.
At the end, I do believe that this could be a DIY project as long as you take your time with it and not rush. Also, for the second, we did call a local concrete company to come and deliver one yard of concrete. It ended up being the same price as if we were to buy it in bags, but way easier on the body and not as time-consuming.
